Build 28NOV
A downside of letting the user define the move filters is that it makes the output more convoluted. Nevertheless I think it's important that it's shown somehow in the output. It doesn't appear for me?
I notice that the move filters for the predefined settings are not shown anymore.
Can I assume they are the same? I.e. World Class is 0.16 and 8 moves reducing by 50% per ply?
I've been doing some 3 way rollouts of the same positions between GNU JF and SW and I'm a little concerned that the default settings for World Class which seem to be a popular choice for rollouts, is not strong enough. Of course the user can define their own so it's not such a big issue but many probably want to have some predefined easy options.
In order to get GNU to get closer to some of the rollout results for SW and JF I've had to increase the filters ( I chose the SW equivalent of 0.31/15--0.15/7)
With these settings the rollouts from these normal kind of positions seem to be much closer.
My suggestion would be to make world class similar to SW and adjust the other levels accordingly.
What do others think?
