[Bug-gnubg] GNU suggestions/requests

Here are a few more items passed on by Neil Kazaross regarding GNU. Some are on the interface, and others on the bot itself.

1) This is a BIG issue with me. When one starts GNU one needs the ability to create a position as well as a match or money game !! It is a big pain to have to start a new match or money game to then edit a position to get GNU's input !!

 

2) The editing mode should have a button, like Snowie, to wipe the board clean or to replace the intitial position.

 

If GNU can handle primes and backgames as well as SW 4, it likely will soon surpass SW 4 in playing ability.

 

Another issue to discuss is that GNU doubles too soon at scores like 6 away 2 away, perhaps with some bug that doesn't properly recognize future potential to use the cube that is dead for the opponent.  Mloner on FIBS suffered from the same problem. The guys at Snowie have good sence when it comes to this match oriented math and I feel that Snowie doubles properly at these 2-away scores.
