Wowwow... 3000+ lines diff :)
Some are minor "silly spacing" differences and the like. I got paranoid about silly spaces especially at the end of lines after I spent hours chasing a ludicrous PHP bug.

Turned out that if you have a construct like this in PHP:

print <<<Stuff
blah
blah
blah
Stuff;X

with a space where the X is PHP doesn't recognise the "Stuff;" as the end of the block and it eats the code up to the end of the next print <<<Stuff statement which if it's at the same level of blocks means that the program doesn't produce any syntax errors.

Will do, sooner or later. While writing something else I got in touch 
with autoconf/automake, too, maybe I can check the am/ac definitions. 
Something deep inside tells me that it's only rocksolid when everything 
can be created from configure.ac/Makefile.am only.
