Thanks Giulia,

This was caused by my mistake in selecting a short name for the newly added '--txtf64format' (which was the same short name as '--descending').

I have fixed the problem and given the link for the updated tarball in the official bug report for this problem:

https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?63270

Thanks again for the good bug report :-).

Cheers,
Mohammad

Hi ,
I am trying to save a catalog of stars, removing the rows with MAGNITUDE
equal to nan and ordering them by descending magnitude:
This is the command line I use

asttable lbt_apertures_cat.cat -c1,2,3 --noblank=MAGNITUDE --sort=MAGNITUDE
--descending -ostar_catalog.cat

This is the message reported in the terminal:

asttable: gal_options_read_check: a bug! Please contact us at
bug-gnuastro@gnu.org to correct it. Options with no arguments, must have
type 'uint8'. However, the 'txtf64format' option has type string

I attached the lbt_apertures_cat.cat

Hope it helps,

Giulia
