Hi Rosa,

Thanks for the bug-report.

The part of the `make check' outputs that you have sent in the previous mail are immediately after the test failed: it starts with "Makefile:1897: recipe for target 'test-suite.log' failed". It would have been more clear if you could send the outputs before this step, for example after it says something like this: "Entering directory '/scratch/Rosa/gnuastro-0.2/tests'".

If `make check' failed before any of the actual tests are done (with a `PASS' or `FAIL'), this error might be bug #49459 (link below). This bug was not fixed in version 0.2 that you have downloaded.

http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?49459

The issue has also been explained in the `known issues' section of the book (the first explanation after `make check' in the link below):

https://www.gnu.org/software/gnuastro/manual/html_node/Known-issues.html

So I would recommend downloading and building the most recent released version of Gnuastro (first link below) and if `make check' fails with the `rpl_malloc' errors (bug #49459), it will be fixed with the added option to configure as described in the page above.

http://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/gnuastro/gnuastro-0.2.28-34fb.tar.gz

On the other hand, if the error messages are not due to `rpl_malloc', it would be great if you could send the outputs of `make check' after it enters the `gnuastro-0.2/tests' directory as described above so we can see what is causing it.

Cheers,
Mohammad
