Bug in GNU as when performing backwards jump to label on FreeBSD (follow-up)

Please disregard the previous email I sent. It turned out that it was still
using 2.17.50 even when I thought it was using 2.33.1 because as was being
called without an absolute path name. I made sure it was being called with
an absolute path name, and 2.33.1 worked.
The only suggestion I would make at this point is that it would be nice if
the autotools were smart enough to automatically choose the newer version
of a tool when multiple versions exist. Or on FreeBSD (and possibly MacOS),
maybe it should search /usr/local before /usr.
But in any case, I did not find a bug in 2.33.1.
