The mailing list is there not only to give other people than me a chance to
answer, but also other people than you to gain profit from the response.
When you ask a question, what makes you think that you are the only one
in the world who should profit from the answer?

Quoting the documentation [1]:
"It is therefore recommended that all msgids be US-ASCII strings."
However, as mentioned in [2], this recommendation becomes less and less
important, because more and more user environments and tools support UTF-8
out of the box.
