Arnold,

In order to make the excellent gawk manual even better, I just repeat my earlier suggestion to change "index in array" and "array[index]" in the gawk manual to "subscript in array" and "array[subscript]" in order a) harmonise the wording and b) avoid that newbies use "index in array", etc. literally.

There are a couple of occurrences, in sections 7, 13.3.5 and A.1

Subject: quick typo fix for gawk manual

On p. 179 of the gawk manual in the "-W exec file" section, the third
sentence begins, "The fist is that..." when it should be "The first is
that...".

The gawk manual is excellent, btw. How often is that said about software
documentation! :-)
