I've talked to Dan about this in person, and I very much like this
idea for improvement. As Dan mentioned, I like the idea of taking the
rarity of the lines into account.
Come to think of it, once we figure out a good heuristic, I'm inclined
to make the new behavior the default, unless the user specifies the
already-existing -d or --minimal option.
