I used the files attached to your mail and tried to reproduce the problem,
but I didn't succeed.  * fields on every line.

My gawk-3.1.4 is linked against:

ld-2.3.2.so
libc-2.3.2.so
libdl-2.3.2.so
libm-2.3.2.so

How it comes that your libdl version doesn't match the other ones?

Which operating system do you use?  I use GNU/Linux.
