compile errors

Hello,

I have downloaded, compiled, and installed the gcc-3.2.1 compiler.
Since then, I can no longer compile gettext-0.11.5, or libtool-1.4.3.

I get the following error:

Undefined                       first referenced
  symbol                                   in file
__eprintf                         basename.lo
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to
.libs/libgettextlib-0.11.5.so

I saw mention about this in some documentation, but I don't know how to
resolve it.

Can someone help me out here?
