NECV850 linking problems

Hi all !!

 

I'm using a microcontroller NECV850 SB1 and I'm using as cross compiler gcc 2.8.1 and linker version 2.9.1.

Sometimes the compilation doesn't come to a correct and  and I see the following writing as output capture:

FAILED to find previous HI16 reloc

obj/module.o  in function foo()

obj/module.o (.text+0xe0): relocation truncated to fit: R_V850_LO16 rodata

 

I don't know how to get out from this situation. I'm sure it's not simply an error of mine because even a very simple change in the code can switch the compilation and linking process from a correct result to this unknown one.
