ld with aix-xcoff... ever? |

To Whom It May Concern,
I am in the process of revising our assembly automation process to use the
gas assembler/loader configured for a powerpc-linux environment. Given
that we have a large regression suite of assembly test cases written with
aix syntax, I've had to configure gas on lunix as a cross-assembler (host
= linux, target = aix). However, as you know, ld is broken for aix, so I
can't set it up with this configuration to get it to input and output xcoff
rather than elf. My question is, will GNU be adding aix-xcoff support for
ld any time in the foreseeable future?
Thanks Much,
Erik A. Shold
