Running on SunOS 5.7 Generic_106541-08
If you use GNU tar to create an archive with entries whose paths are greater
than 100 bytes, Sun's default tar (/usr/sbin/tar) reports "directory
checksum error" when trying to extract that entry from the archive.
GNU tar does not complain when extracting from this file.
GNU tar and Sun tar can extract 100+ entries from a file created by SUN tar
without any errors.
Attached is a bourne shell script that shows an example of the problem.
