follow error code are print by copilation with make

gcc -O -o gzip gzip.o zip.o deflate.o trees.o bits.o unzip.o inflate.o util.o  
crypt.o lzw.o unlzw.o unpack.o unlzh.o getopt.o 
ld: fatal: file values-Xa.o: cannot open file, errno=2
ld: fatal: File processing errors.      No output written to gzip
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target gzip

My OS are:
SunOS akiko 5.5 Generic_103093-25 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-1

My gcc Version are 2.7.2
