hi, there!
Problem description:
--------------------
relocations for debug symbols are not generated when linking
shared objects (elf/i386). this makes shared libraries debugging
impossible.
How to repeat:
--------------
attached tarball contains sample that shows behaviour described
above (with objdump -g output which explains everything)
Fix:
----
merge bfd/elf32-i386.c rev. 1.9 to binutils-2_10-branch
Environment:
------------
lark:~$ld -v
GNU ld version 2.10.0 (with BFD 2.10.0)
lark:~$gdb -v
GNU gdb 4.18
[snip]
This GDB was configured as "i386-unknown-freebsd".
lark:~$uname -a
FreeBSD lark.nsk.bsgdesign.com 4.1-STABLE FreeBSD 4.1-STABLE #5: Wed Sep
6 22:04:47 NOVST 2000
