Thank you for reporting this. Before I add aliases to libiconv, I need
a good reason, or a normative reference. I don't have a copy of the
JISX0213:2004 standard. But on the web site
http://x0213.org/codetable/index.en.html
they are using the aliases that you mention, and this web site has
well maintained conversion tables, therefore I trust it.

Sun doing something is a reference, but lacks normative power. (Sun is also
calling Shift_JIS "PCK"...)

HP-UX iconv is not a reference. It is just ridiculous: They don't even know
how to spell UTF-8.
Due to the x0213.org reference, I have applied your patch with this ChangeLog
entry:
2008-09-21 Tadamasa Teranishi <address@hidden>
* lib/encodings_extra.def: Add aliases for EUC-JISX0213, SHIFT_JISX0213,
ISO-2022-JP-2004, found on <http://x0213.org/codetable/index.en.html>.
Thank you and best regards.
