Hello,
GNU libiconv supports the following Japanese extra encodings.
- EUC-JISX0213
- Shift-JISX0213
- ISO-2022-JP-3
However, these names are the one of the draft.
The formal nomenclature is EUC-JIS-2004, and is Shift_JIS-2004, and
ISO-2022-JP-2004 respectively.
(To our regret, it is not registered in IANA.)
Therefore, the patch that added these alias was made.
Please execute make -f Makefile.devel after applying the patch.
By the way,
It is different in old standard (EUC-JISX0213, ...) and new standard
(EUC-JIS-2004, ....) by 10 characters.
However, there are not so many things that distinguish these
differences.
Moreover, 10 characters are added by correcting 2004-07-31 in GNU
libiconv.
(EUC-JIS-2004, and is Shift_JIS-2004, and and ISO-2022-JP-2004 will be
strictly supported in GNU libiconv. )
Therefore, it is enough in the addition of alias.

* EUC-JIS-2004 and Shift_JIS-2004 are names in iconv of HP-UX such
as eucJP2004 and sjis2004 respectively.
