What happens if you press + instead?`+' works.
Okay, and after you press '+', does '-' work? Also, as Eli asked, can you type C-h l after pressing '+' and '-' a few times? You should see something like this:
+ ;; global-text-scale-adjust + ;; global-text-scale-adjust - ;; global-text-scale-adjust - ;; global-text-scale-adjust
(Also, for some reason, `global-text-scale-adjust' increases the font size once when executed, without me typing `+'. Should that happen?)
