bug#49003: completion-list: vertical vs. horizontal

Can one use vertical completion similar to ivy now?

Have seen icomplete-vertical of Omar Antolín Camarena released in 2020.

Some improvements can be learned from ivy.  For instance, to have colour

highlighting on matches
