bug#30231: 25.2; cannot use € as unit in calc

Yes, I see that too, it's not allowed, it seems only certain character
ranges are allowed for units - and it also seems this is not even
documented.

Does anyone know why we have this kind of restriction for units?  Could
it be softened up?
