emacs -Q
M-x gnus
^ ; gnus-group-enter-server-mode
a ; gnus-server-add-server
nntp ; method
news.gwene.org ; server
hit RET on the news.gwene.org line in the server line
after a while you get the huge list of newsgroups.
search for "stackexchange.history"
hit enter, get a list of articles in history.
search for "encircled".
hit enter, get a hang.

note that this might be macos-specific ;-(
