bug#24512: 25.1; ends of buffer scroll causes distracting large yellow error

This sounds like something that either a package or (more likely) OSX is
doing. This does not occur for me on Fedora 24 with git revision
6d6c93f4cc02d.

Does this happen with all buffers or just some? You wouldn't happen to
be running a 'distribution' such as Spacemacs, would you?
