I've finally found what was the problem - I had authinfo.gpg, that was
not encrypted. Since I don't use gpg much, never had any idea that there
was a problem.
While trying to open a channel erc ran gpg and gpg died trying to open
that that file.
So, this bug is resolved and should be closed.
Though I think it would have been best if erc didn't die when
authinfo.gpg is broken.
