        ACK, thanks for the clarification.

        I’ve got ideas, and also proof-of-concept code, resolving some
        of the issues mentioned in my original report (not to mention a
        very basic but working ‘nnmw’ MediaWiki backend for Gnus.)

        I hope to polish these over the course of the next few days and
        release version 0.2 of the package, which I then request to be
        added to GNU ELPA.
