Fixed on trunk. But I'm not really sure it's the right thing to do,
come to think of it. Lots of functions take a repetition argument, and
I'm not sure we really want to litter them all with hand-written error
messages. On the other hand, `self-insert-command' is kinda special,
so...
Feel free to revert my patch if it's not quite what we want.
