Mine looks like this:

arne@fluss /mnt/eis/backups $ sudo test
Passwort: test

(using emacs -Q -f shell)

GNU Emacs 24.2.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.24.10) of 2012-09-02 on 
fluss
