I think that that sounds like a good idea.

I usually work with two frames, and this
return-the-point-to-where-it-is-in-the-other-frame behaviour has annoyed
me, too.  If you're doing two semi-related things in each frame,
"losing" the point you were at means a lot more jumping back and forth
in the buffer.
