A call to align-regexp with a region large enough to trigger reporting (> align-large-region, defaults to 10000) results in a call to (message "Aligning `%s' ..." ) but the argument to %s is missing.
Thanks for the report. This should have been fixed in Emacs 22. Emacs 21.4 had (message "Aligning `%s' (rule %d of %d) %d%%..." rule-index rule-count (/ (* (- (point) real-beg) 100) (- end-mark real-beg))) Emacs 22.1 has (message "Aligning `%s' (rule %d of %d) %d%%..." (symbol-name symbol) rule-index rule-count (/ (* (- (point) real-beg) 100) (- end-mark real-beg))) here. Could you try to upgrade?
