compile and running emacs on 11.11

Subject: compile and running emacs on 11.11

I used the depot install of emacs and after I attempt to run it which then I get these errors.

/usr/lib/dld.sl : cannot open shared library: /usr/local/lib/libungif.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl : no such file or directory.


I installed all the dependancies first!  Any ideas?
