In GNU Emacs 21.2.1 (i386-redhat-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
 of 2002-04-09 on porky.devel.redhat.com
configured using `configure i386-redhat-linux --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr
--bindir=/usr/bin --sbindir=/usr/sbin --sysconfdir=/etc --datadir=/usr/share
--includedir=/usr/include --libdir=/usr/lib --libexecdir=/usr/libexec
--localstatedir=/var --sharedstatedir=/usr/com --mandir=/usr/share/man
--infodir=/usr/share/info --with-gcc --with-pop --with-sound'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Calling (vc-print-log) under RCS, point is not move to the entry of
the current file if the file is checked out.

Reason: checked out file contain the remark "locked by: xxx" in the
revision line of the log.
e.g. "revision 1.2.1.14 locked by: axel;"
The regexp
(defconst log-view-message-re "^\\(revision \\([.0-9]+\\)\\|D \\([.0-9]+\\)
.*\\)$")

defined in log-view.el won't match

Fix:

define

(defconst log-view-message-re "^\\(revision \\([.0-9]+\\).*\\|D \\([.0-9]+\\)
.*\\)$")

instead.

Greetings,

Axel
