Usenet gateway not working

Up until about two weeks ago, this mailing list was gatewayed to the
newsgroup gnu.emacs.bug. That is no longer the case - since about August 12
messages posted to the mailing list don't make it to the group, and
postings to the newsgroup don't make it to the mailing list. Is this a
deliberate policy change? If so, did I miss an announcement to this effect?
The text in mail/emacsbug.el still says that bug reports will be copied to
the newsgroup. Some people post bug reports to the newsgroup rather than
the list, so reports may go astray (OK, only one so far).
