This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Several times when editing a large file (e.g., >10000 lines), I have
suddenly found the cpu utilization pegged at 100% and found that emacs
won't respond. I apologize for the absence of description herein.
I have not figured out why this happens or exactly when this happens.
Typically, I have recovered by killing openwin drastically (e.g., STOP-A).
On at least one occaision, this occurred when I typed something that
caused a tabify operation. I don't recall noticing this on version 20.7.
It happens periodically in version 21.1. This problem renders emacs to be
like a glorified foo counter.

Please excuse the deficiency of this bug report. I would not send it unless
I thought there might be someone else who has had similar difficulty.
Consider this a vote for "I think something is amiss, but I don't know what
or why."
