NFS EOF problem

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I have configured, built and installed emacs on a windows NT with cygwin
(well, you have details above :)
There are no problem when I work with local files, but when working with
files on an NFS - server.
The problem seems to be that the changes I do in the buffer, more
specifically to delete characters.
It all seems fine in the buffer, and no problems are reported when I
save the buffer, but if I revert the
buffer from the file, the last characters in the file have not been
deleted.
Example:
I create the file test.txt and writes these characters:
test av nfs
I save the buffer.
The file has been created and looks fine.
I open the file in emacs again and position the cursor on L1 C4. I press
backspace four times. I save the buffer.
i use the commando M-x revert-buffer to refresh the buffer from the
file. The file now looks like this:
 av nfs nfs
