This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
Running dired (C-x d) and navigating to my local directory
"f:/music/Various/CCMIX [CD2]" causes the error "Wrong type argument:
stringp, t" to be displayed. Navigating to "f:/music/Various" works
okay, but then highlighting the line in the dired buffer containing
"CCMIX [CD2]" and pressing 'i' gives the same error.
I also get the same error if I navigate to other directories that
contain square brackets ('[' or ']') in the name. I suspect that it is
the bracket causing the problem (just a guess). I am running Emacs on
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server.
