    Hmmm.  XEmacs Dired allows you to set dired-no-confirm to a list of
    dired operations that don't need to be confirmed (recursive-delete is
    just one of many) which gives most of the above.

It is a reasonable feature; if someone implements it and does a good
job, we could install it.  If you are thinking of copying code from
XEmacs to do it, it would be necessary first to find out who actually
wrote that code and see if he is willing to sign the papers for
