And I thought that's what ange-ftp does. At least I've seen it do that
sometimes. And wu=ftpd sometimes returns "Total 0" when asked to
list "/home/foo/.bashrc/." which also confuses ange-ftp into thinking
that .bashrc is a directory (but an empty one this time).
I have a patch that recognizes this special "Total 0" output and
treats it accordingly, but it hasn't been committed to Emacs' CVS
repository because it's not clear whether some other ftp server
might return the same output for genuine empty directories.
