This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.
In GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (alphaev56-dec-osf4.0f, X toolkit)
of Wed Feb 21 2001 on pia002.hlo.dec.com
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
This isn't a bug, but I find the fact that server-visit-files
does a goto-line after running server-visit-hook inconvenient.
I'd like to automatically search for a particular string when I
call emacsclient for files with a certain name. However, I
don't know of anything under my control that runs later than
server-visit-hook. (Major mode functions are called even before
this hook.) If I search for the string in a function called
from server-visit-hook, I lose the position because
server-visit-files then does a goto-line back to the beginning
of the buffer.
Regards,
Dan
