Well, here is an example session:
walters@meta:~$ ls -al .#foo*
ls: .#foo*: No such file or directory
walters@meta:~$ emacs -q --no-site-file -batch -eval '(progn (find-file
"~/foo") (insert "baz") (erase-buffer) (execute-kbd-macro (vconcat (kbd "C-x
C-c") "n" "yes")))'
Save file /home/walters/foo? (y, n, !, ., q, C-r or C-h) Save file
/home/walters/foo? (y, n, !, ., q, C-r or C-h) n
walters@meta:~$ ls -al .#foo*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 walters walters 38 Oct 22 01:22 .#foo ->
walters@meta.verbum.org.5926:971928656
walters@meta:~$
My emacs is configured as:
"GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit)
