Cheers, that I think should go in 5.06.

The optimisation can join the queue for 5.07, besides we might
find a use for attacking pawns at some point.

The MAX/MIN as defined on HP-UX are the same, so I will put the
ndef in just to lose the warnings, and hope no one defines them
differently elsewhere.
