GNU chess version 1.2 - QUESTION

i'm computer illiterate, relatively speaking. so if someone can respond to my following question, it'll have to be in lay terms.

 

what's the approximate range of strenths ("ratings") of the

1.2 version of the GNU chess software, from the fastest to the slowest game play ?

 

i've been getting my butt kicked regularly and i generally hold my own against "expert" level humans.
