thanks for your quick reply.

Currently I don't use CVS.

If next release is close (let's say one week) I may wait, otherwise I'ld 
like to have a patch, if possible.

Another question (off topic).

When I compiled book.dat with gnuchess 5.02, it took 2 days. With gnuchess 
5.04, a few minutes. What changed? Same differences of speed on gaming?
