Hi Stuart,
I got 5.02 compiled first time - as discussed various 5.01 distro's were
flawed.
I use gcc 2.95.2 on Linux 2.2.18.
Damien,
Did anyone answer you? Is this 5.00 or 5.02? Which operating system?
Might be a GCC bug. The documentation asks for a 'script' of the build
process.
e.g.
script forgnubugs
gzip -xvzf chess....
cd chess-5.02/src
autoconf
./configure
./make
ctrl-d to finish script.
