Summary: Starting w/o $HOME gives wierd error message.
Original Submission: When starting TLA without the environment variable 'HOME'
(I was starting it from Java via Runtime.exec) I get a 'fatal' that is not clear
The error message:
/home/zander/sources/tla-1.1pre8/src/tla/libarch/my.c:36:botched invariant
!!home
PANIC: exiting on botched invariant
While this error message is unfriendly in itself; the real solution would
naturally be to not fail without this variable in the first place, just skip
the functionality it provides. printing a warning if you must.
