can't configure under OS X

Hi there,

when I try to configure gmp-4.1.3 under mac os 10.3.3, I get the error 
message:
'checking if globals are prefixed by underscore... configure: error: 
Test program links neither with nor without underscore.'
I am working with gcc version 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 
1635) (-mlongcall).
the output of ./config.guess is 'powerpc-apple-darwin7.3.0'.
Please find attached config.log.

I noticed that some other people experienced similar problems, but I 
didn't find a solution. Your help would be highly appreciated.
