Make file error. Please Help..

Hi there,

I downloaded m4(didn't knew that was the name of a
program)(for Cygwin)  and now there are no errors
during the ./configure command. But when I do the
"make" command I get a few errors:

The following output is given:
MAKE Version 5.2 Copyright etc.
Error makefile 689: Colon expected
Error makefile 690: Command syntax error
Error makefile 693: Command syntax error
Error makefile 1090: Colon expected
***4 errors during make***

General System Information:
WIN98
newest Cygwin version

(not important at least that's what I think)
128 MB
700 MHz


I myself thought: if I just delete the “.” Then it
might work. Well, it worked, a bit then. The output of
the make is now a lot of code printed on my screen.
The program stops with a message of the MSDos-prompt
that there has been an error in a specific memory
address. It also states there are no interrupts in
use. How can this be fixed?

Then I yet have another question: How can I create a
library or someother object that I can use in Borland
C++ Builder 6? Probably, it will work when the make
command executes the right way, but that I am not
sure.
