Hi.
The bug that you had reported did not occur on FedoraCore4/x86-64.
What OS are you using?

$ tar xfz ~/download/ngspice/ng-spice-rework-17.tar.gz
$ cd ng-spice-rework-17/
$ gtags
$ global DEVices
$ global --version
global - GNU GLOBAL 5.6.1
