RE: Global + Latest Berkeley DB

The crashing was pretty weird - if I added blank lines to the files
causing gctags to crash it wouldn't crash. I could never track down the
exact cause, but it was in the DB code I believe. Changing Global to use
Berkeley DB 4.1 seems to have made the problem completely disappear.

I can see that the latest version of BDB is quite a bit different than
the one that is included with Global, but I'm not so sure about the
differences between the 4.X and 3.X versions, which is what most people
should have available.

Anyway, if you're interested I am planning on porting this to the latest
Global so I can use the new C version of htags.

Since there are a lot of version of Berkeley DB and they are not
compatible
each other, I worry about a big mess by supporting new version.
Are there any merit for GLOBAL users?

At present, such a problem report has not been received.
