Attaches is an .eps file generated by Lilypond (version 2.13 as well as
2.14) which behaves differently when interpreted by ghostscript versions
8.71 (ok) versus 9.04 (buggy).
The ledger lines (the little lines the notes under and over the system
rest on) get gradually hollow when viewed or printed using the 9.04.
These lines of course have to be filled in black completely.
Discussion on this problem started on the Lilypond user mail list:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-user/2011-10/msg00458.html
but it seems reasonable that the bug resides in the ghostscript version
9.04 rather than the .eps file, because no other postscript interpreter
besides the gs 9.04 was found to produce the same artifacts. Try for
example to convert the .eps with Adobe Distiller and view the .pdf.
