Hi,
I'm running Ghostscript 6.50 and Gsview 3.6 under Windows 2000 Service
Pack 1. I've been trying to use gsprint 1.4 with Redmon 1.5 to convert
and print incoming Postscript data to a Windows GDI printer (a Canon
BubbleJet BJC-250). My gsprint.cfg is as follows:
-printer
Canon BubbleJet BJC-250
-ghostscript
C:\Program Files\gs\gs6.50\bin\gswin32c.exe
-color
-I"C:\Program Files\gs\gs6.50\lib;C:\Program Files\gs\fonts"
If I enter "gsprint file.ps" or "gsprint - <file.ps" from a command prompt,
the file prints exactly as I'd like. The problem occurs when I try to
run gsprint using Redmon. My redirected port is named RPT2:. As the
program name, I've entered:
c:\program files\ghostgum\gsview\gsprint.exe
My arguments are:
-debug -
The logfile resulting from an attempt to print to my Redmon-supported
printer results in these messages from gsprint:

Couldn't open Windows GDI printer driver
Printer name: "Canon BubbleJet BJC-250"
If I change the printer name to something else, whether it's a valid
printer name (such as my HP Laserjet 2100) or nonsense, I always get
the message "Couldn't open windows GDI printer driver".
A search of Dejanews turns up only one user with a similar problem, but
I don't see anything regarding any solution he may have found. Have I
found a bug with gsprint, Ghostscript, or redmon under Windows 2000 SP1,
or do I have something set up wrong?
Dave
